Perspective Shapes Behavior. Systems Sustain Performance.

Many EF coaching programs focus mainly on the dependent variables of executive function—skills like accountability, task initiation, task prioritization, emotion regulation, and organization—usually measured through assignment completion, grades, and other outcomes.
My approach, however, starts with the independent variables: perspectives, attitudes, and mindsets. By addressing these first, the changes in behavior naturally follow, making improvement in the visible skills more sustainable and approachable. This method adds a deeper layer of value, helping students not just perform better, but understand and guide their own growth.

Process
Students shift perspective, build ownership, implement systems, execute consistently, and ultimately develop a disciplined identity through sustained behavioral change.
1. Shift Perspective
Executive function challenges are not character flaws.
We begin by reframing procrastination and disorganization as skill gaps that can be trained through structured behavioral change.
2. Build Ownership
Perspective shapes attitude.
Students learn to take responsibility for their systems, commitments, and outcomes instead of relying on mood or last-minute pressure.
3. Implement Clear Systems
Attitude must translate into structure.
We install weekly planning routines, task breakdown methods, and accountability checkpoints that make follow-through measurable.
4. Strengthen Execution
Behavior changes through repetition.
Students practice consistent execution, track results, and build discipline through clear weekly targets.
5. Reinforce Identity
Sustained behavior reshapes self-concept.
As students experience real progress, they begin to see themselves as capable, disciplined, and in control.
ABOUT
About the Coach
I have over five years of experience in executive function and academic coaching, working with hundreds of students across middle school, high school, and college.
With more than 1,000 hours of one-on-one coaching, I have helped students strengthen planning, follow-through, time management, and academic independence.
My work is grounded in research from psychology and education science. I integrate findings from behavioral psychology, cognitive science, and positive psychology to design structured, evidence-informed coaching systems.
Rather than relying on motivation or temporary productivity strategies, I focus on sustainable behavioral change.
I hold an MBA, which informs my systems-based and performance-oriented approach, and an MA in Positive Psychology, where I studied resilience, strengths development, and evidence-based wellbeing practices. This combination allows me to bridge performance strategy with psychological insight.
My goal is simple: to help capable students build the executive function skills necessary to perform consistently, manage responsibility, and develop lasting confidence grounded in action.

Student Goals
Redefine Yourself Through
Disciplined Action

This work is not just about getting assignments done.
It is about becoming someone who follows through.
The goal is a complete shift in how you see yourself — from overwhelmed or inconsistent to capable, disciplined, and in control. Through structured practice and accountability, you will build the habits, systems, and mindset that allow you to maximize your potential.
Not through pressure.
Not through motivation.
But through trained skill and consistent execution.

My son has benefitted from Chris' excellent capacity to balance encouragement with structure to improve executive functioning. My son looks forward to the time to meet with Chris. The approach that Chris is taking gives a structure that increases my son's individual responsibility far more effectively than constant reminders from us (parents).

Relatable, Strategic Executive Functioning Coach for 18yr old
My son with ADD has been working with Chris for two semesters.. Chris is totally relatable and provided great advice and strategies for my son. We are looking forward to long-term coaching with Chris to gain the tools and confidence to work thru the paralyzing ADD that limits my son's executions.

Christopher is a knowledgeable and patient tutor. He began working with my grandson when he was struggling in 8th grade and quickly built a strong, supportive relationship. He helped him stay on track, navigate a challenging presentation, and gain confidence. My grandson went from resistant to saying he was “very glad to have a tutor.” Even over the summer, we continue sessions and plan to meet weekly in 9th grade. Christopher has been a valuable part of my grandson’s education, and I’m very grateful for his guidance.

Chris thanks for getting me started on my research paper!
Chris is extremely proactive. He took the liberty of reviewing my paper in advance to understand where the confusion derived. He provided me links to articles that helped me get on the right track. He even showed me tips to using Google scholar. Chris reviewed my research assignment and explained it in a way that MIT was not able. I went from confused to confident!
